Del Paramo

Luisa Lozano, an Indigenous woman from Ecuador, breaks the silence imposed by cultural and extractive forces in her community. As she weaves together her past and present, Luisa confronts the deep-seated trauma carried by her and her family. Through a life marked by care, pain, and an unending struggle, she emerges as a resilient voice fighting for justice and healing in the face of enduring challenges.

Del Páramo

In a land of natural beauty and cultural richness, Luisa, an Indigenous woman from Ecuador, rises against the extractivism devouring her ancestral territory. A symbol of hope, she leads her community’s fight for justice, legacy, and recognition, especially for their daughters.

Despite personal and social adversities, Luisa pursues university education as an act of rebellion, challenging systemic inequality and inspiring Indigenous women to reclaim their place with dignity. Alongside her daughter, she journeys through territories scarred by violence, uncovering the silenced stories of rural women who lost loved ones in the 2019 protests. Together, they weave a narrative of resilience, exposing racism, dispossession, and the hidden violence of patriarchal legacies.

Mountain women, river women, city women—Luisa and her sisters stand as forces of nature. They are fire, resilience, and dignity, united in love and resistance, lighting the way for a future rooted in justice and empowerment.
