Born and raised in Quito Ecuador. Through his work, he has contributed to various social processes, approaching organizations and social movements that seek change. For him, film and documentary photography are spaces to imagine transformation, powerful tools to build a visuality committed to reality. From his critical gaze and aware of his privileges, Luis has found in visual narrative a way to build a collective voice.

His focus is not only on documenting, but also on questioning, reflecting and proposing new ways of understanding the world. With each project, he reaffirms his commitment to tell stories from an decolonial standpoint, where the image becomes a bridge to empathy and action.
