This is a video in support of the RIO GRANDE DEFENSE COMMITTEE and the peasant communities affected by the construction of the Chone Multipurpose Project Dam. This product shows the daily and organizational work of the peasant families and communities that fight for the defense of their territory, as well as the effects that the construction of the dam will have on the lives of thousands of small farmers. CHONE is an initiative of the Observatory of Rural Change - OCARU whose objective is to monitor, generate and disseminate critical information about the conflict in the countryside and the agrarian debate in Ecuador, aimed at indigenous and peasant organizations, rural women's organizations, training schools, social leaders, researchers and NGOs.
